Global Ethnographic - Internet Magazine of Interpretative Anthropology
http://www.globalethnographic.com
| . |
Global Ethnographic is an online 'magazine' whose sole aim is to provide an objective, comparative, anthropological perspective on a range of contemporary issues - in a readable format.
GE has become an OICD project to facilitate both interest in the anthropological perspective as a whole, and to provide a central forum for the coverage and further development of issues to which the discipline can significantly contribute.
The project is approaching online reality. Provisional templates for the site have been designed (see the soon to be released front page design here - no links working as yet), and a pool of potential anthropologists/writers in the process of being contacted.
It is hoped that Global Ethnographic will become an on-line magazine catering for those with an academic interest, but perhaps more so, for people seeking a new perspective on contemporary issues that they see only an anthropological viewpoint as able to fully, objectively, consider.
If you are interested in the project, please do get involved in one way or another. The project seeks editors and procurers of articles, as well as webmasters. See the detailed description of whom the site needs here on the site.
